Tony A. Owens
- President/Owner/CEO Tony
founded the company in 1995. He worked for Motorola
Communications and Electronics for 7 years before
starting OCI. Today, Tony serves and President and Chief
Executive Officer. |

Michelle Owens - Human
Resources/Marketing Michelle is responsible for all
marketing, and sales administration. She also handles
all human resources and oversees the day-to-day business
operations. |

Les England -
Project Manager Les joined Owens Communications
in January of 2007. Les brings with him over 30
years of experience in the public safety field.
Les most recently served as the Director,
Bartholomew County Emergency Operations Center in
Columbus, Indiana. Les was responsible for the
implementation and operation of a consolidated E911
center and served as the Director for over six
years. Les has served OCI as both Operations
Manager, and General Manager. He now concentrates on the
management of large complex projects and contracts for
OCI. |

Shari Niemoeller -
Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Shari
has all accounts receivable and payable responsibilities
along with other daily financial and bookkeeping duties.
She also provides inside customer support. |

Scott Wyke
Business Manager
Joined OCI in January 2010. Graduate of Indiana University. Responsible for administrative, operational, and sales service support personnel. Also, oversees the Accounting and Human Resource Departments Scott has over 20 years of management experience. Prior to joining OCI, he was the controller of a manufacturing business in North Vernon and managed a small business in Columbus.

Travis Edwards - Service
Manager Travis started in the communications industry
in 1996 with the US Army working on GTE mobile
subscriber equipment. After 5 years in the Army, Travis
was contracted by a management company to perform LMR
maintenance for a nuclear missile facility. While at
Malmstrom AFB, he was responsible for the maintenance of
a Motorola 6.X trunking system and associated subscriber
units. Travis was also responsible for the maintenance
of ground to air radio and automated weather systems. |

Malcom Dobson -
Installations / Technician Malcolm joined OCI
in April 2007. He is
an installer of two-way radio and public safety
lighting equipment. Malcolm brings with him over
15 years of vehicle maintenance and equipment
installation. His ability to fabricate
brackets and complete thorough installations make him a
valuable asset to the OCI team. |

Dave Harris
- Senior Technician Dave was OCI’s
first employee. He started with OCI in April of 1995.
Dave has almost 30 years of experience in the 2-way
radio industry. Dave is involved with the design,
implementation, and repair of 2-way radio products and
systems. In addition to Dave's experience and expertise,
he has attained his Certified Electronics Technician
(CET) certification. |

Shawn Shafer -
Technician/Installation Manager Shawn came to Owens
Communications from the Indiana Department of Natural
Resources where he had been employed for 15 years. Shawn
brings with him a vast knowledge and expertise in
maintaining and the installation of public safety
equipment in various types of vehicles. |

Tim Morrison
- Senior Technician Tim joined Owens
Communications, Inc. in June 2007. Tim
brings over 30 years of industry experience
including two-way radio systems and equipment to
OCI. His primary responsibility is to provide
project management and leadership to OCI’s
Jeffersonville service group. Tim has received
his Certified Electronics Technician (CET)
certification, FCC General Radiotelephone Certification,
and National Radio and Telephone Engineers
Certification. |

- Installations / Technician John
came to the OCI Jeffersonville location in
June 2007 from Line-X where he handled the day to day
installation of vehicle accessories. John has
over 4 years of vehicle installation
experience. He specializes in the installation of

this field makes him a very important link in our

Chris joined OCI in 2008.
Chris has over 30 years of expereince installing mobile
audio, video, two-way radio, cellular, and emergency
vehicle warning systems. Chris strives for customer

valuable asset to our customers.

Don VanTimmeren
- Technician Don has been with Owens since Feb.2009 but has been in the RF electronics industry since 1980. Since receiving his electronics training in the US Coast Guard in High power RF and Loran signaling he has worked on many different manufacturers equipment in Two-way radio, including GE, EF Johnson, Uniden, Icom, Vertex, Midland, and others. Don is proud to now work primarily on the best radios in the two-way business—Motorola, expanding his knowledge into Motorola’s diversity. Don, a native Michigander, lives and works in Bloomington with his wife and two kids (still at home). Don holds a BA in Biblical Exposition and MA in Old Testament studies and enjoys reading, wood working, and time with church family.

Chris Leedy - Technician Started with Owens in January 2010.
Has 14 years experience as an IT Network Engineer, with emphasis on routing, switching and telephony (TDM and VOIP).
Has extensive backrougn in IT including: desktop support/helpdesk to building enterprise class servers (both Windows and Linux) and local/wide area networks.
Chris's primary role is supporting the Louisville Metro P25 Radio System Project. |

Darrell "DJ" Gregory - Technician Darrell Joined Owens Communications in 2010, Darrell is a veteran of the U.S. Army Signal Corps, where he specialized in encrypted and imbedded signaling systems while serving our country abroad. Darrell also has experience in satellite and broadband wireless systems. We are proud to have DJ serving our mission Critical public safety, business, and military customers.

Anthony Hester - Technician Anthony Hester came to Owens Communications Inc. in February 2010 after retiring from the United States Air Force, serving nearly 24 years. During that time, Anthony completed Air Traffic Control Radar Maintenance; Computer and Network Maintenance; Ground Radio Maintenace; Inside and Outside Telephone Plant Maintenance; Satellite Communications Maintenance; and Meteorology Equipment Maintenance. Anthony’s main focus is on AM and FM, portable, mobile, and base station two-way radio maintenance and installation including programming, cabling and antenna’s.

Brad Latimer – Sales
Specialist Brad joined Owens Communications full time
in December 2006 upon his retirement from the Columbus
Police Department after 20 years of service. Brad
served as Chief of Police for 5 years. He also
held the positions of Deputy Chief, Shift Commander,
Detective, Training Officer, and was a member of the
Department’s S.W.A.T. team. During his tenure as
Police Chief, Brad implemented an 800 MHZ trunked radio
system, a mobile data communication system, and in-car
video. Brad is also a veteran of the U.S. Army
Military Police Corps. Brad’s primary role for OCI
is serving public safety & federal government
customers. |

Curt Beverage
- Sales Specialist Curt joined OCI
in Jan 2008 after 21 years of service with the Columbus
Police Department. He retired from CPD as Deputy Chief
and held several other positions during his career
including Field Training Officer, Defensive Tactics
Instructor, Narcotics Division Supervisor, SWAT Team
Leader, and Uniform Division Captain. Curt is also a
4-year veteran of the U. S. Army. Curt is a sales
specialist for Jackson, Jennings, Jefferson, Decatur,
Scott, and Ripley counties. |

Shane Hanna
-Data and Mobility Products Manager
Shane joined the OCI team in November of 2007, he
has 12 years of wireless telecommunications experience.
He is a graduate of Indiana University, and holds a
lifetime FCC General Radiotelephone Operator's License,
and has been designated as a Master of Communications
Technology by National Radio Examiners in 2003. Shane is
certified as a Wireless Field Engineer, and as a
Wireless Systems Engineer by the Electronics Technician
Association. He is a resource in both product knowledge,
and technical issues. Shane is an active volunteer
FF/EMT and Haz-Mat Technician and has been active in the
emergency services for over 19 years. |

Sam Carpenter
- Sales Specialist Sam first joined OCI in
2000. Sam has been in the electronic service
business for 27 years. He has his FCC General
Radiotelephone Operators License and Advanced Class
Amateur Radio License. He also has experience as a
general electronics, radio, and system technician.
Sam's technical background is a great advantage to all
of his customers as he provides both excellent customer
service as well as technical knowledge. |

Bob Jarrard – Sales
Specialist Bob joined Owens Communication in April
of 2007 after nearly 21 years with the Columbus Police
Department. Bob's career included assignments as a
patrolman, detective, and was a supervisor in the
detective division for the last 10 years, ending as the
Captain over investigations. Bob was a member of the
department's SWAT team and a field training officer.
Previously, Bob was a patrolman with the Indiana
University Police Department in Bloomington. |

Matt McCord – Sales
Specialist
Matt joined Owens Communications full time in 2009 after serving approximately 20 years as a police officer with the Columbus Police Department and IU Police Department. Matt served as Chief of Police for 5 years. He also held the positions of Deputy Chief, Shift Commander, Narcotics Detective, Training Officer, and was a member of the Department’s S.W.A.T. team. During his tenure as police administrator, Matt helped to implement an 800 MHZ trunked radio system, a mobile data communication system, and in-car video. Matt’s primary role for OCI is serving public safety & federal government customers and other customers in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky.

Steve Dhondt - Sales Specialist
Steve joined Owens Communications in February
2009. Steve spent over 13 years as the Fire Chief
in Greenwood before joining OCI. He has been on
the Greenwood Fire Department for over 23 years and
still currently serves as a Captain for the
department. Steve was instrumental in the
development and implementation of Johnson County’s
migration to the State of IN 800 MHz radio system in
2001, the first county in the state on the Hoosier
SAFE-T system. He has served on the IPSC policy
advisory board as well as collaborating with the IPSC
staff to help improve the statewide radio system.
While Steve’s specialty is Public Safety communications,
he also serves and understands the commercial and
industrial markets for OCI. |

Pam Cunningham - Sales
Specialist Pam joined the OCI team January 2009, upon opening the Bloomington Shop. She has twenty plus years experience in the communication industry, encompassing answering service, voice mail, paging, cellular phones & two-way radios. She has spent the last six years working in the wireless communications industry, specializing in two-way radios & wireless systems. Pam’s extensive knowledge of working with the clients to solve their communication needs gives her a strong back ground to assist in sales & customer service for OCI.

Rick Fach Inside
Sales/Lighting Expert/Technician Rick joined Owens
Communications' Jeffersonville location in June
2007. Rick has over 30 years of
two-way radio repair experience, as well as a vast
knowledge of vehicle lighting. He has been an
instructor in electronics and owned his own electronics
business for over 20 years. Rick brings many years
of experience and expertise to our organization and
provides excellent customer service to all of our
