“Hello, My name is Bruce Hoffman and I have been volunteering for the American Red Cross for some 20+ years. I am an Instructor and First Aid coordinator for special events, like the 4-H fair and Ceraland 4th of July, Hope Heritage Festival and other local events. Over the years we have met the health and safety needs of everyone attending these events. We are all volunteers trained in health & safety but could not be as effective without a means to communicate. You see there are thousands of people at these events and a lot of area’s to cover, so we send teams out walking around with the radios that are donated from OCI. Two-way radios from OCI help us respond faster which can save lives. We want the public to have a fun and safe time at these events. We, the ARC take our responsibility very seriously.
